Design Concept: A Leap from Basics to Innovation
The first generation LED endodontic motor, with an external LED light design, indeed improved the lighting function compared to the original endodontic motor. This feature was also widely welcomed by dentists. However, its design flaws were also very obvious. Since it was an improvement from a regular endodontic motor to one with a light, due to design limitations, a power port had to be added externally on the motor to supply power to the LED light. Whenever the handpiece was rotated, the LED light had to be removed. This resulted in many difficult-to-reach tooth positions still lacking lighting.
Therefore, a new generation LED endodontic motor capable of full tooth position and full oral cavity illumination, and whose handpiece can withstand high temperature and high pressure sterilization, was born.
