Handling issues with root canal length measurement

Question: The root canal needle has reached the apex, but the display shows it is too shallow?
Question Reason:
1、 Extreme dryness in the pulp chamber (especially in large root canals).
2、 Poor contact between the root canal needle clamp and the needle, or dirt on the surface.
3、 The corner of the mouth hook is dirty or the mucous membrane it contacts is excessively dry.
Treatment:
1、 Instill a small amount of normal saline into the root canal to keep it moist.
2、 Clean or replace the root canal needle clamp and needle.
3、 Clean or replace the hook and keep the mucous membrane moist.
