Hello everyone, I'm Jacky from Liangya Dental Clinic. Today I'll share with you the sterilization methods for high-speed handpieces. Cleaning: This can be done manually or mechanically. Regardless of the method, the core requirement is to remove contamination and ensure thorough cleaning. Pre-treatment: Pre-treatment should begin at the chair side. After each treatment, flush the handpiece for 30 seconds by stepping on the foot pedal. Remove the handpiece and bur, and wipe off surface contaminants. Place in a designated collection container. Maintenance: Dental handpieces should be lubricated and maintained after each cleaning and before sterilization. Use oil-based, not water-soluble, lubricating oil. Packaging: When using paper-plastic bags, ensure complete sealing with a sealing width ≥6mm, and the instrument should be ≥2.5cm from the bag seal. Disinfection and Sterilization: This should be done in a designated disinfection and sterilization room. For oral instruments, pressure steam sterilization is preferred, and disinfection and sterilization monitoring should be performed. After sterilization, check all physical parameters and chemical indicators. Only release for use after confirmation of compliance.

Maintenance Maintenance: After each cleaning and before sterilization, the dental handpiece should be lubricated. Use an oil-based lubricant, not a water-soluble one.

Packaging Packaging: When using paper-plastic bags, ensure complete sealing with a seal width ≥6mm, and the instrument should be ≥2.5cm from the bag seal.

Disinfection and Sterilization Disinfection and Sterilization: This should be done in a designated room. For oral instruments, pressure steam sterilization is preferred. Disinfection and sterilization monitoring should be performed.

After sterilization, check all physical parameters and chemical indicators. Release only after passing inspection.
